hi chris
came across your review of the chris isaak gig in th Village while browsing through his website and traced it back to here
i just want to say a big thanks for the review it was amazing, i was there myself that night. I’ve been a fan of chris’s music for 18 years now and think he has an amazing voice. Needless to say the fact that i was lookin forward to seeing him play live goes without saying. Unfortunately due to excitement( i was right up the top he actually passed right by me to get to the stage) and the consumption of a few bottles of miller i forgot a few things. The husband remembered some but thanks to your review it all came flooding back. I read it about a week after the gig and it was brill i felt like i was there again. My hubby knows a photographer that was there and we got some amazing pics, if you like i can post some to you
Once again thanks, i’m going to save the review somewhere so that every now and then i can read it and remember, i know i sound like a sad case but its very rare you come across a voice and humour like chris’s in this world
all the best

Hi Anita.
I’m not sure I ever actually replied to this! Really really sorry if I didn’t as it is an absolutely lovely email and very much appreciated. The review was actually posted by someone on the Chris Isaak message board at chrisisaak.com and seemed to get a great response.
I was even contacted by one of the girls who appeared on stage; she was desperately looking for photos of it. I sourced them for her… from one of the other girls who’d appeared on stage! (Sue, the girl he spoke with). Sue had emailed me off the message board and so the other girl got her pics – 2 years after the gig when she had given up all hope of ever seeing any.
So all in all, a review I’m delighted to have written. I know it was a fawning, adoring fan review and not a bit objective but who cares, it was a great gig and I’m not surprised yourself and your husband enjoyed so much.
By the way did you know he’s touring Europe at the moment but NOT coming to Ireland?! Boo!!
Anyway, apologies again for the 3 year delay in replying (cough!) and hope this finds you well.
Chris.
